Personal
Rodney Mathis was born and raised in Gordon County.
His parents are Ann and Lee Mathis.
He attended Belwood Elementary, Ashworth Middle and
Calhoun
High School.
He is married to the former Nancy Fitzgerald.
They have one son.
Community
Involvement
Rodney is a member of Calhoun First
Methodist
Church
and currently serves as president of the United Methodist Men’s
group and as a member of the Administrative Council of the Church.
He currently serves as a legal
advisor to Voluntarily Action Center (VAC), Winners’ Club, and
Gordon Hospital Authority.
In the past he has served on many other community boards
including the United
Way, Hospital Foundation, Downtown
Development Authority.
